In 2012 she started studying contemporary dance at the Cairo Contemporary Dance Centre (CCDC) where she was exposed to various dance techniques and attended multiple workshops with internationally renowned artists such as Frey Faust, Goran Bogdanovski, Mark Tompkins, Athanasia Kanellopoulou and Vincent Mantsoeat. She graduated in 2016 under the direction of Karima Mansour.

Whether its in her dance videos or stage performances, Hend’s primary focus is to explore the ideas of personal space, habits, addictions, body organs, and how societies shapes the relationship with our body and movements. Working within the independent dance scene, she strives to produce and participate in socially aware dance pieces, constantly exploring the role of dance as a tool to empower the individual and bring out those neglected modes of expression.
